Emil Banca, with over 130 years of history and more than 54,000 members, is the leading cooperative bank in Emilia-Romagna and beyond. Part of the Iccrea Cooperative Banking Group, it is a cooperative bank with 97 branches in the provinces of Bologna, Ferrara, Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia and Mantua, acting as a real driving force for local development for businesses and associations.
Ventisette Digital developed the communication strategy for the sustainability.emilbanca.it project, a platform that clearly and measurably outlines Emil Banca’s ESG commitment, overseeing its strategic approach, visual identity, website and social media plan.
Starting with an analysis of the sustainability plan, the agency defined a credible narrative language that is rooted in the local area and impact-oriented. The visual identity developed conveys, with graphic consistency, the bank’s environmental, social and governance values: natural colours, evocative symbols and inclusive layouts.
The website was designed as a streamlined and accessible platform, where dynamic content, data and storytelling intertwine to highlight the concrete results achieved. To round it off, a multi-channel social media editorial plan, comprising carousels, video interviews, infographics and campaigns, helps to promote the project using an engaging and contemporary language.

Strategic approach
A new perspective
To better appreciate the effort involved in producing the integrated annual report, a shift in perspective is needed: the report is not the end point, but the start of a broader and ongoing process.
The report, rather than being merely a document, can in fact be transformed into a project designed to engage stakeholders, with actions and tools that become increasingly structured over time.
Circularity
The project is structured according to an Agile approach, and thus follows a circular process that combines the presentation of the actions undertaken, their integration into a narrative framework, and an invitation to stakeholders to participate:
- We deploy targeted tools to explain what Emil Banca is and what it does.
- We bring data to life through a continuous narrative that engages the audience.
- We encourage stakeholder interaction on multiple levels.
- We gather quantitative and qualitative feedback to help improve the ecosystem and refine our tools.
