September, the month of festivals: and so as every year we are here to remind you of the 2023 edition of the Festival of Philosophy, the classic early-autumn event that for an entire weekend brings to life the cities of Modena, Carpi and Sassuolo.
The 2023 edition, scheduled for 15, 16 and 17 September, will be dedicated to the Word. A particularly significant theme for us, who work with texts, languages and communication every day.

The talks and events on offer at the Festival of Philosophy promise to tackle the centrality of language, of speech and of speaking up in an era — characterised by the dominance of communication — that paradoxically nevertheless seems to weaken it.
If it is true that the digital revolution is upending the registers to which language must conform, the word is (and will remain) an essential activity to life and social coexistence. And precisely for this reason, the responsibilities involved in its use are increasingly delicate and fundamental!

Among the sea of talks and activities that enrich the Festival’s programme, here are some suggestions from us. Events that explore what we consider the most contemporary frontier of language, the one linked to the potential of automation and artificial intelligence, through different points of view: theatre, music, robotics, the humanities.
