On the weekend dedicated to Caseifici Aperti 2026, VENTISETTE invites you to “Viaggio nel Gusto”, an event blending taste, culture and local heritage in the heart of Bologna on the coming Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2026, at the Giardini Margherita, in Piazza Jacchia.

“Viaggio nel Gusto” reinterprets the spirit of the Grand Tour in a contemporary key of the late 1700s undertaken by European artists and intellectuals in search of Italy’s finest produce, celebrating Parmigiano Reggiano through an immersive and participatory experience.

A journey that unfolds across 5 stops, one for each territory of the PDO (Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna to the left of the river Reno and Mantua to the right of the Po), where the public discovers local specialities paired with Parmigiano Reggiano, amid guided tastings, stories and contemporary interpretations of taste.

For two days, from 11:00 to 19:00, Piazzale Mario Jacchia at the Giardini Margherita will be transformed into a contemporary street market — striking, well-ordered and with strong visual impact, inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of London’s markets.

Each territorial area will be redesigned as a characteristic glimpse, integrated with the elements of the Caseifici Aperti key visual, to build a coherent narrative system linking space, product and identity.

Visitors will become an active part of the journey through workshop tables with materials on display and dedicated food islands.

The Parmigiano tastings will be offered on their own and paired with typical local products, with wheel-opening demonstrations and samplings that tell the story of the 5 PDO provinces through guided micro-experiences and creative interpretations.

Alongside the tastings, moments of live show cooking by Le Cesarine will present Parmigiano Reggiano as a central ingredient of Italian cuisine.

The experience will then be rounded off with floral workshops and the customisation of tees with stickers of the PDO territories, where floral compositions and textile personalisations will turn the public into active protagonists of the event’s visual and sensory storytelling.

Great attention is also given to the youngest visitors, with a music workshop dedicated to building instruments made from recycled materials, for a guided educational and creative experience.

“Viaggio nel Gusto” is a format that combines aesthetics, content and participation, turning tasting into a collective story of the local area.

VENTISETTE Digital oversaw the creative framework, the communication system and the production of the event, translating the Caseifici Aperti concept into a coherent visual and spatial language, able to integrate key visual, experience design and the storytelling of the territories into a single immersive ecosystem.
